Product Description

The EZ-Vac 96 Vacuum Manifold is designed for the high-throughput, rapid parallel manual purification of nucleic acid using the ZymoPURE 96 Plasmid Miniprep Kit. The vacuum manifold allows researchers to simplify their nucleic acid purification workflows further by eliminating the need for multiple centrifugation steps through the use of a vacuum. The unique manifold design also conveniently allows the filtrate and wash solutions to be collected in an external catch flask (not included), eliminating the need for manifold disassembly and waste handling.

Technical Specifications

CapabilityThe EZ-Vac 96 Vacuum Manifold is capable of processing up to 96 samples simultaneously using 96-well vacuum plates and a vacuum source.
CompatibilityThe EZ-Vac 96 Vacuum Manifold is compatible with the ZymoPURE 96 Plasmid Miniprep Kit or any kit utilizing stacked vacuum plates. Please refer to the ZymoPURE 96 Plasmid Miniprep Kit instruction manual for more information regarding processing with EZ-Vac 96 Vacuum Manifold.
Required EquipmentA single or double-staged unit vacuum pump capable of producing up to 300 mm Hg at the vacuum manifold. A vacuum regulator is recommended to monitor and adjust the vacuum pressure in the vacuum manifold. Please contact Zymo Research Corporation if you have any questions regarding the suitability of your vacuum source.

Q1: Can this vacuum manifold be used with other high throughput plasmid purification kits?

Yes. This vacuum manifold is compatible with any kit that utilizes stacked vacuum plates.

Q2: Can this be used other 96-well kits from Zymo Research?

No. The ZymoPURE 96 Plasmid Miniprep Kit is our only high-throughput product designed to be used with a vacuum manifold.
